GYPSY: A Musical Fable

Eden played Mama Rose, the ultimate stage mother/monster, in April-May 2019 at The Contemporary Theater Company, Wakefield RI

Head Trick Theatre’s “Watch On The Rhine” is a superb production of a 1941 Lillian Hellman play. The questions Hellman asks are important ones: what risks would you be willing to take for your country? For your friends? Fanny Farrelly (Paula Faber), the family matriarch, is visited by her daughter Sara (the magnificent Eden Casteel), her husband Kurt (Andrew Stigler), and their three young children, precocious Joshua (Ezra Jordan), shy Babette (Emma Sheldon), and inquisitive Bodo (Jack Sheldon). . . Stigler and Casteel’s terrific chemistry in their scenes together results in a poignant and heartfelt climax.
— Joe Siegel, EDGE Media Network
Casteel has a special way about her in this performance. Her emotions are easily read even when the spotlight is on someone else, and she drives the action forward by helping the audience react with her. Her husband is in clear danger of being killed as Count Teck begins to suspect he and Kurt are on opposing political sides, but Casteel grounds the show and brings comfort by sacrificing her own peace of mind.

I played lonely Italian housewife Francesca Johnson in Jason Robert Brown's romantic musical version of the popular novel by Robert James Waller. Performances were April-May 2018 at the Chestnut Street Playhouse in Norwich, CT. With Zach Wobensmith as photographer Robert Kincaid, Cecilia Stallone as Carolyn Johnson, Lucas Pereira as Michael Johnson, and Kevin Ladd as Richard "Bud" Johnson.

I performed an evening of coloratura cabaret with the wonderful Jim Rice, at the Ocean State Theater Company. The setlist included some old and new holiday favorites, a few songs by my favorite singers, and SopranoLand, where I sang as many climactic Broadway soprano notes as I could!
